One of the highlights of the Columbia Icefield is where the Athabasca Glacier meets the highway.  This is where you will find the Wilcox Pass trail where you will find stunning views of the Athabasca Glacier, the Snow Dome and Mount Kitchener.  Along the Wilcox Pass you are sure to see animals and colourful wildflowers in late July with the colors of fall showing up as early as the end of August.
